Hilot Means Healer weaves the tangible with the intangible to tell a story of unexpected bonds formed during cataclysmic change, as a family attempts to heal soul wounds born from atrocities and occupation, through the touch of plants and the garden of a healer.” The reading of Hilot Means Healer is directed by Marjorie Chan, and features a cast of actors and a musician, MaryCarl Guiao who plays indigenous instruments including the kulintang. This event begins with a complimentary breakfast and concludes with a reception and book signing with Jo. |
