Community Arts Project by Artists-in-residence: Jo SiMalaya Alcampo, Joce Tremblay, Kyle Duffield and the AGO Youth Council
Influenced by colour theory and the strong connections between art and science, the Council and lead artists have created an interactive installation that uses technology and audio sound-scapes to tell stories about colour, memory and culture.
The project was also inspired by the Isang Litrong Liwanag (A Liter of Light) in the Phillipines. For more information about this ingenious solar light project visit http://isanglitrongliwanag.org/about-us/
Thank you to Lorena Salome for technical support and AGO Youth Program Coordinator, Syrus Marcus Ware.
About the Youth Council
The AGO Council works collectively to initiate programming at the Art Gallery of Ontario by youth for youth, including exhibitions, public art projects, large-scale events, field trips and much more. This hands-on, fast-paced program gives participants a chance to work with local and international artists, advocates and activists on projects that reflect the concerns, interests and passions of people between the ages of 14 to 24.
